Thin Infinti FX/QX70 is a seriosly badass crossover. When you consider the fact that this car’s most direct competition is the Lexus RX and Acura MDX (so much X), it is really amusing.

It was even more badass in FX50 form. Why a crossover SUV with a big ol V8 up front ever existed, I’ll never understand, but I love that it did. If only Infiniti could get back to building those awesome vehicles.

Indeed. I’ve driven the FX50, and am keeping my fingers crossed for one ending up in you garage within a month. But even the 330hp FX37 is plenty fast.

I used to like the pre-facelift QX80 (aka the QX56) but it has grown off me. The facelift made everything 10x worse.

I don’t mind the QX80 as much as I hate the JX. Or whatever it’s called now. FWD based crossover with a CVT goes against everything Infiniti spent years building, which was a reputation for fun sporty, but reliable alternatives to the Germans and other Japanese makes.

On the contrary, I like it a lot. Gradient wood, quilted leather, and a quality, driver oriented feel to everything.

The previous gen did have a crummy interior though.

I like the FX, always have. I feel it was the way the second-gen Cadillac SRX should have been, given that the first-gen and a Northstar V8 and RWD.

Yup. The SRX really needs a refresh, preferably to something like this only with escalade looks and more luggage room.

These are great. A few Infiniti models are seriously underrated. It’s too bad they don’t have a real performance division. The V8 versions are especially nice.
